Postmodernism Is Not To Blame!
It’s always ‘the other side’ who is guilty of spin.

The following is a review of a book called Republic Of Spin — An Inside History of the American Presidency. It was written by Professor David Greenberg.
The work details the long toruous past of executive posturing and management of press coverage. The more I worked on this summary (for various reviewing platforms), I felt it would make for an excellent blog here on Medium.
If you’re engaged with politics, you will hear no shortage of postmodernism-bashing. When I was speaking recently with Professor Stanley Fish, on my YouTube channel, he mentioned how post-structuralism and relativism seems to be a swearword or a club with which to beat you for simply disagreeing with ones deeply held perspective.
You are likely aware of how postmodernism has been attributed to the rise of the woke culture, cancel culture, atheism, conspiracy theories, internet trolls and predators, and the post-truth condition of our political climate.
This is non-sense! Postmodernism is a position in philosophy. And as such, it has almost nothing to do with the radical left or right. You can enjoy the works of Derrida, espouse the virtues of deconstruction, but then go vote for Biden, Trump, or not participate at all.
